We're delighted to announce that Tetbury Library has recently reopened following a period of closure for refurbishment. We have made essential improvements to the building’s infrastructure, as well as increasing its thermal efficiency. These upgrades mean better heating and cooling for visitors—and a reduced carbon footprint for the planet.

We’ve also taken this opportunity to reimagine the library space and services:

- £19,000 worth of brand-new books now line our shelves, offering something for every reader.

- A new meeting pod provides a quiet, comfortable space for laptop users or anyone seeking a more private spot.

- New bookshelves brighten the space and make browsing more enjoyable.

- The Children’s Library has moved to a larger area, now featuring a story throne, activity table, and plenty of places for children to sit, from toadstools and logs to a colourful new rug.

We’ve made sustainable choices wherever possible, using repurposed furniture to save an estimated 2.5 tonnes of carbon emissions.

Whether you're a regular visitor or haven’t been in a while, we’d love for you to stop by and explore the new space.
