How to receive this service
Speak to your local library. Ask library staff to arrange a volunteer to visit you. Any information you give will be treated confidentially.
Library staff will contact you to make an appointment to visit you about the service. They will be carrying identity and will expect you to check it before you let them into your home.
The volunteer will ask you what sort of books you like which then helps when choosing items from the library for you.
After that you should receive a service as soon as possible.
What can I borrow?
The volunteer will bring a selection of materials to your home and you can choose from them. You can choose from any of our books and audio books. Visit the online library catalogue for our entire collection - all available to you to borrow.
If you would like a particular book or books on a subject you want to know more about, ask the volunteer. They will tell local library staff who will try to get the books you want. It helps if you can provide us with as much information about the book or subject as possible. These requests will be provided free of charge.
