Spring is in the air and the libraries are full of books celebrating the season and taking joy in nature. You'll also find nature-themed events for all ages taking place around the county this month, including a chance to swap some seeds!

Storytime with author Andy Hussey
Stroud Library | Wednesday 8 April, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

We're excited to welcome local author Andy Hussey to Stroud Library this April. Come along to hear Andy read from his books, have the opportunity to ask him your questions, and get inspired to explore outdoors and have your own adventure! 

Andy is the author of uplifting children’s books encouraging exploration, inquisitive minds and an appreciation of outdoor spaces and nature. Please book ahead.

 

Creative Play Afternoon 
Newent Library | Friday 10 April, 2 - 6 pm 

Come along to a creative play afternoon at Newent Library with The Wild Things. There will be three seasonal, sustainable crafts for you to have fun with and take home, as well as some loose part play for younger siblings.

Book a free ticket for 2pm, 3pm or 4pm and then stay and play for as long as you like.

 

Our Stories: A Climate Corner Book Social
Nailsworth Library | Friday 10 April, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Join us at Nailsworth Library to share stories about writing that has inspired you to take positive action in your community or in your everyday life. Your chosen piece could be a poem, essay, book, blog post—anything that has sparked your imagination or encouraged change. No booking required.

 

Seed Swap at Fairford Library
Fairford Library | Saturday 11 April, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Come along to Fairford Library and swap some seeds! 

You'll be able to take seeds home to grow or stay and plant up seeds to take home in the courtyard (weather permitting).
