The David Vaisey Trust is a registered charity supported entirely by voluntary contributions, and administers annual Awards that recognise and reward outstanding initiatives by Gloucestershire public and school libraries – initiatives that result in more people reading more books.

The Shortlisted Projects
Coleford Library – Library Community Link
To set up and maintain a small library at the new Forest of Dean Community Hospital in Cinderford. This will give patients access to large print books, audio books, music CDs and board games.
Quedgeley, Tuffley and Matson Libraries – Library Adventurer’s League
To run a Library Adventurer’s League for people to participate in interactive activities with a wide range of educational and socials benefits. It will provide a safe space within the library and focus mainly on Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer, interactive stories and board gaming.
Oakley Interactive Space – Oakley Book Club
To launch a book club that is open to all, including children, young people and adults. The aim is to get more people reading locally and foster a love of reading and books. The weekly book club will combine discussing the text and taking part in a linked activity (craft, journalling, reviewing the text).
