Description

This June, in honour of Pride Month, attend one of 6 creative workshops across the county where you’ll work collaboratively with inter-disciplinary artists to produce a piece of artwork (representing one of the colours of the LGBTQ flag) that encapsulates themes of love, queerness, self-expression, identity and experiences of the LGBTQ community. Join us at Gloucester Library for a nurturing and expressive journaling workshop designed to provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals to explore life and healing through creative prompts. This workshop emphasises the importance of self-expression over artistic ability, allowing participants to reflect, share experiences, and make meaningful connections.Create a tangible piece of art – be it a poem, collage, stitched paper, or painting – that reflects your journey and experiences.Engage in various journaling prompts throughout the day, each designed to inspire self-reflection and artistic expression.Gloucestershire Libraries are committed to creating an inclusive community and are working towards a place where everyone feels welcome, safe and valued for who they are. Our events are for everyone: We welcome you whatever your socio-economic background, ability, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, religious beliefs or sexual orientation. If you have any access requirements or if you need further information about the event, please contact [email protected] ahead of the session.
