A young boy making music at a Mix & Mash session

Description

We’re excited to be partnering with The Music Works to bring Mix and Mash sessions to libraries across Gloucestershire —fun, creative music-making experiences designed especially for young people with additional needs, but open to all young people aged 7 to 25.

These inclusive sessions offer a welcoming space where everyone can explore music, no matter their ability or experience. Using specialist equipment and supported by highly trained staff, The Music Works ensures that every young person has the opportunity to take part, express themselves, and enjoy the power of sound.

Sessions will run on Wednesday afternoons in Cheltenham Lab* from 14.00 - 17.00 on a drop-in basis, so no need to book.

*You can find The Lab behind Cheltenham Main Library, above the children's library.

Gloucestershire Libraries are committed to creating an inclusive community and are working towards a place where everyone feels welcome, safe and valued for who they are. Our events are for everyone:

We welcome you whatever your socioeconomic background, ability, gender, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, religious beliefs or sexual orientation.

If you have any access requirements or if you need further information about the event, please contact [email protected] ahead of the session.
