Carousel of Stories offers an insightful journey through time and memory through a of series of images and words. As viewers engage with these portraits, they become part of the reminiscence.
This initiative celebrates the cherished favourite places of Gloucester and Cheltenham residents, inviting us all to be emersed share in their stories and memories and reflect on the threads that bind us to these special places.
In collaboration with Gloucester and Cheltenham Residential Care Homes and Gloucester based Memory Café, Jade L A Fisher photography Gloucestershire Archive and Gloucestershire Libraries are proud to share a diverse collection of thoughts relived through heartfelt conversations and recognising the importance of capturing these individual precious recollections.

Jade L A Fisher is a disabled portrait photographer based in Gloucestershire. She holds a HND in Photography from Gloucestershire College and a BA (hons) in Photography: Editorial and Advertising from University of Gloucestershire.
Jade believes in using her images to prompt conversations around diversity and inclusion. She is passionate about capturing stories that are often unheard, while creating imagery that includes underrepresented groups. Her mission is to create a safe space for everyone to express themselves and their unique identities through her work. She is currently seeking to make her practice more accessible by using audio, image description and alt text. She believes that accessibility should be at the forefront of her photographic practice.
